What do you do with angled walls, angled cabinets and an octagon shape home? This amazing Stuart kitchen renovation changed the entire shape of this home. Before, the kitchen wrapped the corner wall shape and ultimately divided the home. We began by removing the non-structural wall that held the refrigerator and stove. Moved the refrigerator over to the window wall and flanked both sides with pantry storage. A new slide in electric stove sits in the island along with a microwave base cabinet.
Because of the angles, we custom cut the back of the pantry to match the wall shape. While this cabinet cannot have roll out shelves because of the awkward shape, there is still plenty of storage space for small appliances and large pots. We added taller 42″ upper cabinets with risers and crown molding to the ceiling, a farm sink, a long 10+ foot island with back to back storage and full length seating.
