Collings Drive

Maximize was the keyword and master plan for our latest kitchen remodel. Our client wanted to use every inch of space and we nailed it!

First we removed the high top bar creating one level countertops by the sink. This immediately opened up the kitchen view from the living room. Next, we adjusted the layout slightly because we could not change the flooring. The walkway entering the kitchen from the hallway has always been a tight space so we resolved this by using a tall pantry cabinet to space off the fridge from the walkway and moving the refrigerator over.

Adding a row of cabinets at the top with both glass and solid doors created extra storage and fun mood lighting in the kitchen. Under cabinet lights provide much needed visibility in corners and over workspace. The cabinetry color selection was a fun mix of blue gray, soft white and woods to compliment her floors and beautiful greenery. New lighting, matte black finishes, a subtle chevron patterned backsplash and butcher block rolling island bring it all together.
